Dr. Slayton decides through the individual treatment plans if soft tissue release is in order to better relieve your symptoms. This entails trigger point therapy to relax the individual muscle spasms. Also included in this therapy every visit is passive stretching which helps the adjustment hold longer and stabilizes the injured area.
Slayton Chiropractic office prides itself on your individual treatment plans. No two patients get exactly the same adjustment. Depending on age, pain, and complexity of problem, Dr. Slayton will decide if you need traditional hands-on adjustments or more gentler methods. Some of the techniques used in our office are: Diversified (hands-on), activator, Thompson drop (using a table machanism), and Cox Flexion-Distraction.
Slayton Chiropractic offers 4 types of machines to increase circulation, decrease pain and inflammation, and relax tense muscles: Electrical Muscle Stimulator, Therapeutic Ultrasound, Mechanical Traction, and Neuromuscular Re-education. In addition to the machines, Dr. Slayton also does hands-on, soft tissue release. This complements the treatment you receive with the chiropractic adjustment. We also have an Inversion Table to help reverse the signs of aging and gravity.
X-ray treatment is beneficial for the patient as well as Dr. Slayton in order to specifically diagnose each individual. During your second visit, the doctor will personally show and explain the results of your x-ray.
